On August 28, Weng Jieming, Vice Minister of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of the State Council, stated that central enterprises and key local state-owned enterprises should strive to promote the digital and intelligent upgrading of enterprise management, better empowering business operations, promoting management reform, enhancing value creation, and improving operational efficiency, thus creating a new engine for management improvement driven by digital and intelligent technologies.
On August 28, the SASAC held an on-site promotion meeting in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, focusing on the digital and intelligent upgrading of management, and further deploying and promoting the next steps in the in-depth implementation of the Benchmarking World-Class Management Improvement Action (Benchmarking Improvement Action). Weng Jieming made the above statement at the meeting.
"Cloud office," "online business," "intelligent manufacturing," "contactless production"... In recent years, China's state-owned enterprises have conducted a series of digital and intelligent transformation practices based on their own business characteristics, demonstrating the vibrant future of "digital intelligence." However, when benchmarked against world-class enterprises, there are still significant gaps in the application of data elements, information resource sharing, and management informationization capabilities.
Weng Jieming indicated that key state-owned enterprises should focus on key and difficult problems, promote the digital and intelligent upgrading of management, better empower business operations, effectively solve pain points, difficulties, and bottlenecks in business operations; better promote management reform, providing effective support for the transformation and upgrading of management concepts, systems, and methods; better achieve value enhancement, fully mining data resources, and promoting product innovation, service innovation, and business model innovation; and better improve operational efficiency, breaking down "information silos," strengthening the integrated application of new technologies, and accelerating the formation of new advantages for enterprise development.
Carrying out the benchmarking and improvement action and improving the management level of enterprises are important tasks of the three-year action plan for state-owned enterprise reform. Since the official launch of the action last year, central enterprises have revised and improved more than 1,500 various systems, and have achieved more than half of the time and task goals for key tasks and objectives. The relevant enterprise management systems have been further improved, and management capabilities have been further enhanced.
